Tonight I went to a Pink Floyd concert in Vilnius with my girlfriend.
The whole evening was a Lithuanian interpretation of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ music and it was really very good. I have been told that it was a pretty close recreation of the 25th anniversary special DVD which I’m now very keen to watch.
The evening’s entertainment consisted of a choir, orchestra, dancers, video, fireworks, Lithuanian soloists singing Pink Floyd with slightly strange accents, bungee jumpers and lots of fake brick walls being smashed. A crowd of about 20,000 Vilnusians gathered around ‘Vingas Parkas’ an open air concert area and park in the centre of the city. Not a bad evenings entertainment for $10.
