Yesterday V and I saw a car accident.
We were waiting to turn off a busy road into a side street when a black ford smacked into the side of a white Hyundai that appeared to have run through a red light. The emergency services were there within 5 minutes, followed by the ambulance and sometime later the police, quite an impressive response time I thought.
There was a lady in the passenger seat of the black car that needed to be stretchered to hospital, looked to be just a precaution for a sore neck though, so nothing life or death. I gave my number to the police as a witness and told them what I saw, which wasn’t much actually, even eye witness accounts are subject to all the fallibilities of our human brain… was it 10 seconds or 1 minute after the crash that our light turned green? Hard to judge actually.
It wasn’t a high speed impact, just enough to make a large sound and set off the airbag in the Hyundai which was being driven by an elderly man, reminds you of the dangerous nature of driving around at 60kph in a box of metal.
