Bombs in Beirut
An on the ground perspective from Lebanon. Fleeing to Syria.
………..I’m currently at a friends house in Aley, a very nice area, it’s just such a shame that I’ve had to discover it in such appalling circumstances. We went and ate at a restaurant which is normally so overflowing that people wait for a table, but tonight one feels the cool breeze gushing through from the mountains as it is all but empty. The restaurant offers panoramic views of Beirut below, but unfortunately the sound of Israeli bombs replaced those of flamboyant fireworks. Joy has turned to sorrow, life has turned to death in the great city of Beirut………
A direct view from the battlefield in Beirut.
Going directly to the scene in the internet age is a fantastic thing.
