Financial Smoking
Dunc has written a good post about smokers on his blog.
I am always amused by those who buy lotto tickets and the like at news agencies, normally with a comment about how it would be nice to win, or how bad their luck has been, or other gambling small talk.
Strikes me this is the financial equivalent of smoking for your lifestyle and health.

Oh so true. lotto tickets are for mugs.
The simplest way to get a bit of extra money is to save it. Just *pretend* you are buying the lotto tickets, and put the cash in a jar instead. Then empty the jar every 6 months and see how much you won!
